Point & speak

Text to speech

Highlight
Readable has a new technique we call “underline-highlight”. When in Microsoft Office and more, the spoken words have a subtle underline highlight in a choice of colours – no visual disturbance and great for tracking the words.
Readability
Includes new tools for improving visual readability on the PC. Sensory Tint provides colour screen tinting – any tint can be set, mono view, night mode and colour vision options. Sensory Ruler is masking vari-width screen ruler.
PDF Reader
Sensory PDF Reader, included with Readable is a dedicated, secure, PDF Viewer that can be used as a computer reader for exams (JCQ compliant) or every day PDF work. Sensory PDF Reader also contains speech controls, background colour and simple annotations.
Ambient Sounds
Readable includes a selection of sensory ambient sounds such as white noise, to help with focus. The Sensory Readable audio controls can be adjusted to speak text content with the chosen voice and the ambient sound is balanced.
Word Compatible
Readable supports your writing and proof reading in Microsoft Word whether local or Office 365 cloud. Providing extra accessibility support for writing tools such as Microsoft Editor, references, spellcheck, voice access or prediction.
Voice Typing
Readable supports writing with voice (voice typing) by providing efficient proof reading. Readable can either echo back each phrase created by Voice Access or Dragon Pro or proof the whole dictation. This builds confidence and accuracy.
OCR
Readable includes locally installed optical character recognition (OCR) to convert inaccessible typed text to accessible content, for speaking and editing. The “text extractor” will capture and speak text you select with your cursor.

Secure
The Sensory Readable network version (.msi) is a secure, signed, offline installed windows application. No data or personal information is passed from Sensory Readable Windows to external cloud servers when using the secure network installation.

System Specifications for Sensory Readable Suite for Windows with Vocalizer TTS Voices
Sensory Readable integrates and operates with Microsoft Windows system, Microsoft Office, and other programs open on the PC. It can also operate alongside other assistive technology such as screen magnifiers or Dragon speech recognition dictation software. Sensory App House recommends that users have a computer suitable to perform their study and work and be supported by assistive technology . Our recommended minimum specification for the Sensory Readable for Windows Suite is as follows.
Recommended Minimum Specification: Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB HDD
If a user only require usage of elements of the Readable Suite, such as Sensory PDF Reader, then the following minimum specification is recommended.
